About The Park

The Site is grassy and level with 12 hard standings for caravans and motorhomes with ample grass for tents. There are 20 electric hook-up points for caravans, motorhomes and tents (guidance on hook-ups). There is a chemical disposal point with flush and a waste water point for Motorhomes.

New for 2018 - Family room with disabled access.

The toilet and shower block is heated and supplies free hot water for wash basins and showers. It has ample facilities, including baby changing, hair dryers and shaver points for which there is no additional charge.

The laundrette has a washing machine - 3 per wash, tumble dryer - 50p for 15 minutes, deep sink with free hot water, rotary washing line and a free to use iron.

The dishwashing area is covered and is supplied with free hot water.

The reception is bright and airy and incorporates a small shop able to provide campers with goods ranging from a toothbrush to an excellent bottle of wine, from a box of matches to a gas cylinder, at very competitive prices (unlike most campsite shops). Circumstances demand that the shop is not open all year (open Easter to 1st October).

Wi-Fi Internet Access is available for FREE.

Mobile Fire Pits and Chimnea are available to hire (limited availability) for only 5 per night (5 refundable deposit). Fire wood (5) and kindling (3) is sold in the shop if required.

TV reception is not good (digital soon) due to the geographical location of the park, Satellite dish alignment is limited due to the location of the trees on the park. These factors also effect the signal for some mobile telephone networks.

Dogs are permitted on site but they must be kept on a short leash and under the control of an adult at all times.

There is also a small section of play apparatus for children to play on, in the middle of the park.

The Park is in the historic village of Orcheston (mentioned in the Doomsday Book, written in 1085) on the fringe of Salisbury Plain so popular with those interested in its unique flora and fauna.

There are 2 public houses within 3 miles of the site, The Rose and Crown in Tilshead where you can get excellent food and real ale, and The Plume of Feathers in Shrewton (no food) there are also take away and eat in establishments approximately 5-7 miles away (Indian, Chinese, Kebab and Pizza, Pizza Hut, Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, Harvester, Weatherspoons and of course, Fish & Chips) some actually deliver here. There is also a Co-op  supermarket in the next village of Shrewton (approx. 1.5 miles) and larger supermarkets Tesco, Lidl, Aldi and Co-Op in Amesbury (approx 7 miles).
