In requesting a reservation at Wilverley Scout Campsite you are agreeing to the following:

  1. To follow and adhere to all the information given in this website.

  2. To follow and adhere to the General Rules.

  3. The use of the generator must be strictly adhered to.

  4. A non refundable deposit for buildings will be 50% of total costs and £10 for the campsite will be required on acceptance of the booking.

  5. All deposits must be paid within 14 days of a booking being accepted or the booking will be forfeited.

  6. A booking has not been accepted until a deposit or payment is made and a confirmation email has been sent showing the dates booked and the payments made.

  7. Full payment must be made at least 14 days before camping date. Gas and diesel will be invoiced after camping.

  8. All persons and vehicles using the Campsite must obey the instructions of the Duty Warden or his nominated representative.

  9. Domestic animals are not permitted on the campsite or in the buildings. Working dogs are permitted provided that they are correctly supervised.

  10. Please respect the campsite curfew and ensure all your party are quiet between 2300 hrs (11pm) and 0700 hrs (7am). Generators may not be operated during the curfew.

  11. Caravans and motor homes are not allowed to park at the campsite or on the access road. 

  12. The speed limit for all vehicles on the access road to the campsite is 10mph. The speed limit for ALL OTHER AREAS is walking pace. All vehicles entering the Inclosure must display a Parking Permit (available on request from Mr. Peter Hull when booking).

  13. Cars are not permitted on the grassed areas.

  14. Water points and the toilet block hand basins are not to be used for washing up, there is a designated washing up area next to the toilet block.

  15. All rubbish is to be removed from the campsite.

  16. Firearms are only permitted with the express written permission of the Southampton City District Commissioner or their nominated representative on each and every occasion. (POR Rule 9.37)

  17. Chain saws are not permitted.

  18. Any person suspected of causing criminal damage on the premises will be asked to leave the premises forthwith. Damage includes chopping down standing trees and shrubs, even if they appear to be dead.

  19. Damaged caused or found must be reported to Mr. Peter Hull as soon as possible.

  20. All damages must be paid for.

  21. Open fires are not allowed, the BBQ area can be pre booked when booking.

  22. Digging is not permitted.

  23. Persons under the age of 18 years are not permitted to drink alcohol on the premises. Persons over the age of 18 years should not consume alcohol so that they are incapable of looking after themselves. It is the responsibility of the group leader to supervise the consumption of alcohol on the site.

  24. All tents and vehicles are parked entirely at the visitors risk. The proprietors take no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person, tent or vehicle and their contents.

  25. On arrival your accommodation should be in a clean and tidy condition, if you are not satisfied with the state of the cleanliness you should inform Mr Arthur Ashton immediately. On departure you should leave your accommodation in a clean and tidy condition. Accommodation requiring further cleaning, after your departure, will attract a cleaning fee. The minimum fee charged is £25.

  26. It is the responsibility of the leader-in-charge of the group to ensure that all persons at the campsite are correctly supervised. When members of a group are undertaking activities at campsite the leader-in-charge must ensure that the pastoral needs of the group are provided for. It is the responsibility of the ‘pastoral carer’ to ensure that members of the group conduct themselves in a safe and proper manner at all times.

  27. The land surrounding the Campsite is on private land, owned by the Forestry Commission and is subject to a set of Byelaws.
