Wilverley Scout Campsite is situated on the A.35 in the New Forest approximately mid-way between Wilverley Post and Holmsley Station Tea Rooms (Grid ref :- SU237014), close to both Southampton and Bournemouth. It is an excellent base for visits to many of the natural and historical places of interest in the area, and in addition to being not far from the sea, the New Forest is an ideal location for walking and scouting activities.

The 4-acre site can accommodate up to 120 under canvas.

There is in addition a Cottage with indoor accommodation for 30 in 6 dormitories (3 x 6 + 3 x 4 ), together with a Scouter/Disabled bedroom, large open communal area, kitchen and internal toilet.

The cottage is accessible to the disabled and centrally heated in winter. Adjacent to the cottage is an Activity Centre with a further large communal room and independent kitchen. Both buildings may be hired separately.

Separate Male and Female flush toilet and showers are available adjacent to the Activity Centre.

A small building with flush toilets and washing facilities is situated in the camping area.

Mains water is laid on to the site with standpipes in the camping areas, electric power is by diesel generator and telephone is connected, (Tel: 01425 403440).

This site is for Scouting use only. No open fires, Access road usage and speed restricted, Night activities by permission of forestry commission.

Booking for following year will only be taken after 1st October (to allow for home district priority booking).
